In a perfect world (fiction)

She was trying to hide her labored breathing and wanted more than anything to grab him and pull him in closer to her for a long, extended hug. He was so familiar; maybe he reminded her of someone from her past. She felt a little ditzy around him sometimes, he brought out the shy side of her but for the most part, she was comfortable around him.

She could easily imagine what it would be like to spend more time together; hanging out, traveling, playing. He seemed like he would be game for just about anything and she was always willing to try something new.

A part of her just wanted to run away with him. She knew it would be fun and they would probably be very compatible traveling pals......but maybe that's all they would be- pals. There is nothing wrong with having a great friend that puts you at ease with the world.
